Retirement Plans
Duke offers the Duke University Faculty and Staff Retirement Plan as a savings plan that both employees paid biweekly and employees paid monthly can contribute to on a pre-tax basis, Roth after-tax basis, or a combination of both to save for retirement. Employees paid biweekly are also eligible for the Employees' Retirement Plan (ERP), which is a pension plan paid for entirely by Duke. Eligible employees paid monthly may receive a contribution to the Duke University Faculty and Staff Retirement Plan.

Duke offers comprehensive disability insurance programs, including both an employer paid plan and voluntary employee paid programs.
Life Insurance
Duke offers you comprehensive life insurance programs, including both employer paid plans and voluntary employee paid programs, from which you can choose to participate to supplement your insurance needs. It is recommended that you review your beneficiary information annually and update, as needed. The beneficiary designation with the most recent date, in good form and properly signed, constitutes the only effective designation.
Property Insurance
Personal Casualty Insurance protects you in the event of an accident or natural disaster that damages personal property that you own, or against personal liability in the case of property damage or personal injury to another person as a result of your actions.
