We can assist you with nutritional guidance for the following common topics: weight loss or weight gain, weight maintenance, general healthy eating, healthy pregnancy/ lactation, exercise and sports performance, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and pre-diabetes/ diabetes. Consults are currently available via video visit and you can self-schedule a consult here. Appointments last 45-60 minutes.
Worksite Nutrition Consult
If you have a group of 4 or more employees working in the same location, we will arrange to come to your office for consultation. Appointments last up to 30 minutes each and are a great opportunity to have your most pressing nutrition questions answered by one of our registered dietitians. May be combined with fitness consultations upon request. To request this service for your team, please contact Esther Granville at 681-0526 or esther.granville@duke.edu to arrange this service.
Resting Metabolic Rate Test (RMR)
Resting metabolism is the energy required by your body to perform the most basic functions when your body is at rest. These essential functions include things like breathing, circulating blood or basic brain functions. This test will measure your metabolic rate with a non-invasive breath test. The test will require an early morning appointment, prior to eating food, consuming caffeine, or exercising. Our Registered Dietitian can help you sort the results into meaningful changes that you can make to meet your weight loss or weight gain goals. You can request a Nutrition consult with RMR test here. Our team will follow up with you to schedule your appointment.
