College Admissions 101
Are you a Duke employee with a child who is a junior or senior in high school this year?
If so, you are cordially invited to "College Admissions 101," a free 90-minute seminar offered Tuesday, October 24 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. for Duke employees and their high school junior or senior to help demystify the college admissions process.
The seminar, hosted by the Duke Undergraduate Admissions office, will cover basic information such as:
- Timelines and deadlines for college applications
- How to choose which colleges to apply to
- Options for making college affordable (including Duke's Children's Tuition Grant)
The "College Admissions 101" seminar will be held virtually via Zoom.

Registration is required to access the event. If you are not able to register online or need further assistance with the online registration, please reach out to Colleen Miltenberg at colleen.miltenberg@duke.edu.
Please be aware that this seminar will not focus on admission to Duke or any other specific college. Families interested in learning more specific information about admission to Duke are encouraged to attend an information session (offered in person and virtually) and tour. More information on how to visit and connect with us can be found at visit.duke.edu.
Additionally, please keep in mind that this seminar will be tailored to address the needs of juniors and seniors in high school. If you have children in the eighth, ninth, or tenth grade, stay tuned this spring for our "College Knowledge" program that will cover the foundations of the admissions process.
We hope to see you at "College Admissions 101"!
