RE: The Value of Working at Duke
This week faculty and staff should receive a personalized benefits statement in the mail at their home address. This statement offers a breakdown of the total financial investment Duke makes in each individual through pay and benefits.
As a supervisor, this annual event offers you an opportunity to reinforce some important messages about Duke’s total compensation package and the value of working at this unique institution where we can make a difference in the lives of our community and the world around us through our work together.
This year, we have developed a video presentation called “The Value of Working at Duke” to help you fulfill your critical role in communicating with staff about the benefits and resources available to them and how they contribute to our overall success.
I encourage you to take a few minutes during a staff meeting to let your employees know about the distribution of the benefits statement and maybe share a story about how Duke’s benefits have been of value to you or someone you know.
Duke will also be hosting Financial Fitness Week from May 22-25 to offer faculty, staff and their family members information, financial expertise, and resources to take full advantage of their benefits. You can find a full description of the workshops and resources available on the Duke Human Resources website.
If you have questions about Duke’s benefit programs or the upcoming events, please contact the Human Resources Information Center at 919-684-5600. Thank you.
