Health Insurance

If you find that you have a desired provider that is not in the network, you may complete and submit the Provider Nomination Form.
**The Duke Select and Duke Basic medical network is not changing for 2026. UNC is not in-network, and WakeMed is only in-network for Pediatrics, Ob/GYNs, Rehab, and Emergency visits. If you use a non-Duke behavioral health provider, please confirm that provider participates in the Evernorth (Cigna) Behavioral Health Network.
Dental Insurance
Duke has an expanded network of providers who have agreed to accept usual and customary (U&C) for covered services. Under the dental plans, participants are able to visit any licensed dentist. You can find a network provider by calling Ameritas at 1-800-487-5553 or by visiting the Ameritas web site.
Vision Care Insurance
To find a network provider, please visit the UnitedHealthcare Vision web site or call 1-800-638-3120.
Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Benefits
If you are enrolled in Duke Select or Duke Basic, you can access a listing of Aetna behavioral health network providers here or by using the Aetna Mobile app. If you are enrolled in Blue Care or Duke Options, you can access a listing of Blue Cross Blue Shield behavioral health network providers here or by using the Blue Connect Mobile NC app. In addition, a listing of Duke behavioral health providers that are considered network providers for Duke employees and their dependents is available here. You may also call the Duke Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Appointment Center at 919-684-0100 to find or schedule an appointment with a Duke behavioral health provider.
