NOTICE: Day 1 at Duke Health to be delivered virtually until further notice
Dear new colleague,
As we respond to COVID-19, we are taking a number of steps to safeguard your health and well-being. Like many organizations around the country, we have recently stopped holding events which gather 50 people or more. One such event is your orientation, known as Day 1 at Duke Health.
The information you need to know as a new Duke Health employee will now be delivered as virtual courses in our Learning Management System (LMS)*. Get instructions on how to access the LMS and complete your modules here.
Together these modules add up to approximately an hour and a half of learning. Your manager will ask you to complete these during your first two weeks of employment. Please prioritize the benefits section, as you must select your benefits within 30 days of employment.
Your manager or HR representative will be reaching out with information on where to report on day 1. As you prepare to arrive, the most important action for you is to monitor your own health. If you find yourself feeling unwell before your first day of work, do not arrive sick. Please alert your manager and also contact your medical provider.
We look forward to welcoming you here at Duke as we undertake the incredibly important mission of advancing health together.
- The Duke Health Family
*Duke Raleigh Hospital holds its own orientation, which is also virtual until further notice.
