Personal Assistance Service
Personal Assistance Service (PAS), Duke's employee assistance program, offers assessment, short-term counseling and referrals from a staff of licensed clinical social workers and psychologists to help resolve a range of personal, work and family problems. Services are free and confidential to Duke faculty, staff, and their immediate family members.
Worker's Compensation
Employees that have an on-the-job injury may be eligible for benefits - including medical care and income replacement - under workers' compensation. Managers have responsibilities for helping to create a safe work environment and for reporting and investigating accidents that may occur in the workplace.

LIVE FOR LIFE, Duke's employee wellness program, offers health assessments and education, smoking cessation programs, fitness activities and nutrition activities, to help eligible faculty, staff and family members reach their health and fitness goals.
Duke Ergonomics
The Duke Ergonomics Division endeavors to recognize ergonomic hazards in the workplace and recommend ways of minimizing or controlling these hazards through engineering or administrative controls so that all Duke employees are kept healthy, productive, and free of discomfort.
