New Hire Orientation

New Staff Orientation (for University employees) and Duke University Health System Orientation (for School of Medicine/School of Nursing and DUHS employees) provides a broad overview of Duke, essential expectations and valuable resources.  Many DUHS employees must attend DUHS Orientation on their first day of work.  Please register them as soon as possible so that they have ample time to enroll in health, dental, and vision insurance, and reimbursement accounts within 30 days of gaining eligibility.  Duke Raleigh Hospital managers should contact their HR office at 919-954-3110 and Duke Regional Hospital managers should contact their HR office at 919-470-7263 for assistance in registering new employees.

The following are recommended strategies and actions to take to ensure that your new or transferring employee is properly oriented to ‘Big Duke:’

Consider accompanying them to the event and picking them up afterwards     X
