Personality & Effective Communication (In-Person)

For employees of Duke University and DUHS. Continuing Education Credits (CEUs): 0.3 Using social capital as a focusing concept, the class highlights the importance of communication for building positive and productive working relationships. At the end of the course participants will be able to recognize patterns of communication, identify strengths and weaknesses of current communication practices, and develop new or improved communication strategies with coworkers and those in other departments. Assessment: The Myer's-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment will be debriefed during this session; all participants must complete the assessment at least two weeks prior to the start of the course.
