Employee Concert to Ring in Holidays on Dec. 12
Encourage your staff and faculty to ring in the holiday season with live music and light refreshments at Duke University Chapel on Dec. 12. The Employee Holiday Concert will be held from 11-11:30 a.m. A reception with light refreshments follows the performance on the Chapel Quad. The first 300 employees attending the concert receive a surprise gift from Duke.

Project Planning Tips on a Platter
If big projects intimidate you, check out these tips from Duke Dining, which plans, prepares and serves a feast for about 1,600 during its annual Thanksgiving meal. Even if you’re not a chef in the kitchen, you can learn from how they pull off this event each year.

Diversity and the 2019 Holiday Season
Celebrating commonalities, while also sharing the differences and understanding that some people will not celebrate the same things (or anything at all), is an important step in creating a more open environment. The Office of Institutional Equity has compiled a list of religious celebrations to help inform and build awareness and understanding of the traditions and beliefs of others in an inclusive, respectful, and dignified way.
