 March 6, 2017

Chronicle of Higher Ed to Survey Faculty, Staff
The Chronicle of Higher Education will be surveying 600 randomly selected Duke University faculty and staff next week as part of the “Great Colleges to Work For” program. If you or members of your department receive the invitation, please take time to complete the brief survey to ensure high participation rate.

Bias and Hate Issue Committee Begins Work on Campus
As part of the university’s implementation of last year’s recommendations on bias and hate issues on campus, a new committee of faculty, students and staff began regular meetings this month. Their task is to strengthen the university’s policies and practices that influence student bias/hate prevention and responses.

New Pharmacy Offers Convenient Access on West Campus
A full-service pharmacy opened last week in the new Student Health Center on West Campus and will offer participants in Duke’s medical plans the option of purchasing long-term maintenance medications (90-day supply) at the on-site pharmacy under the same guidelines as Express Scripts Mail Order, which offers a lower co-payment and is not subject to the $100 deductible for brand/non-formulary drugs.
