COVID-19 Test Available for Faculty and Staff
Given the upcoming holiday, Duke is providing asymptomatic faculty and staff members with the opportunity to schedule a free COVID-19 test. This is a service with limited capacity which we plan to provide for our faculty and staff as long as our supplies and resources allow.
Nominate Your Top Performers for Presidential Award
The Presidential Awards program recognizes individuals and teams who best demonstrate the values that define and shape Duke as an institution. The awards are one of the highest honors given by Duke to staff and faculty members. Nominations remain open through Dec. 7, 2020.
Expanded Professional Development Courses Available Online
Due to the pandemic, Learning & Organization Development moved some of its courses online after the COVID-19 outbreak. With the 10 new courses, which will be part of the 2021 slate of 107 total professional development and technical courses, Learning & Organization Development’s entire set of offerings will be virtual.
Most University Staff to Work Remotely Through Spring Semester
With a surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations and expectation that vaccines will not be widely available to faculty, staff and students until late spring or early summer 2021, most university staff should continue to work remotely through the spring semester unless you are specifically designated to return to Duke facilities.
