Community Service Award, COVID-19 Travel Guidance, Early Voting

Nominate a Staff Member for the Duke Community Service Award
Nominate a Duke employee for the Duke Employee Community Service Award. This award recognizes a Duke employee who has performed truly outstanding volunteer service to the Durham community. The Community Service Center will contribute $200 to the agency or school nominating the recipient of this award.

Travel Guidance for Students
With travel restrictions in place related to the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Duke has offered guidance for international students with concerns and questions about traveling outside the U.S., particularly during spring break next month.

Early Voting Begins on Duke’s Campus
Early voting for the March 2020 primary election began on campus last week in the Brodhead Center. It will run through Saturday, Feb. 29. Voters are not required to show photo ID for the March 2020 primary election. In a December 31 order, a federal district court blocked North Carolina’s voter photo ID requirement from taking effect. The injunction will remain in place until further order of the court.
