Dental Insurance

Duke has an expanded network of providers who have agreed to accept usual and customary (U&C) for covered services. Under the dental plans, participants are able to visit any licensed dentist. You can find a network provider by calling Ameritas at 1-800-487-5553 or by visiting the Ameritas web site.

Network Providers for 2026

Beginning in 2026, Duke will move to Cigna Healthcare for the administration of all medical plans. This change will help mitigate plan expenses and offer a broad network of providers. While the network covers nearly all current providers, employees will be able to check and ensure theirs are included, and if not, how to request they be added. Please see the Open Enrollment 2026 website to search for providers in the networks for the Duke Health Plans with Cigna.

Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Benefits

If you are enrolled in Duke Select or Duke Basic, you can access a listing of Aetna behavioral health network providers here or by using the Aetna Mobile app. If you are enrolled in Blue Care or Duke Options, you can access a listing of Blue Cross Blue Shield behavioral health network providers here or by using the Blue Connect Mobile NC app. In addition, a listing of Duke behavioral health providers that are considered network providers for Duke employees and their dependents is available here. You may also call the Duke Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Appointment Center at 919-684-0100 to find or schedule an appointment with a Duke behavioral health provider.
