The Duke Toastmasters Club is a local chapter of Toastmasters International©. Toastmasters offers instruction and skill development to help people speak effectively, organize and conduct meetings, and motivate others.

Guide to Managing
at Duke

Guide to Managing at Duke is a three-day program that prepares and equips University and DUHS managers to meet changing strategic, operational, and work culture objectives through effective managerial practices.

Kenexa Training

Kenexa CareerTracker software has been implemented at DUHS to automate the performance management process. Trainings are available as follows:

• Kenexa/ CareerTracker Introduction for DUHS
• Kenexa/ CareerTracker Refresher for DUHS

Mentoring at Duke

In the summary report of the Women's Initiative (Fall 2003), committee members strongly recommended supporting the development of mentoring relationships for all members of the Duke community. To that end, Human Resources has -

• developed a Mentoring web site
• held a Mentoring Kick-off Event
• created an open-enrollment workshop for mentors.
