A process is simply a series of steps and decisions for accomplishing work. Process improvement means making things better, not just fighting fires or managing crises. This involves studying causes and effects, and using that knowledge to reduce variation, remove activities that contribute no value to the product or service, and improve customer satisfaction. This workshop is for staff members at all levels who are involved in process improvement efforts. It provides a practical "tool kit" for initiating and implementing process improvements. Objectives:
determine the critical success factors for process improvement
learn about data collection for process mapping and identify value-adds
analyze the data and identify desired improvements
identify the root causes which prevent the process from meeting objectives
develop a plan for implementing change that will meet the objectives
