Objectives:
Effective performance management starts with a shared understanding between the employee and the manager/supervisor regarding performance expectations. Working together, managers/supervisors and their employees can create clear and precise performance goals aligned with the objectives of the department and organization. In this workshop, we will work with a template for writing clear and specific goals, practice writing, and examine how to use the goals throughout the performance cycle. Workshop objectives:
- learn how to align the employee's job responsibilities with both department goals and organization goals
- write performance expectations that clarify specific results and behaviors
