Duke Center for Nicotine and Smoking Cessation Research
The
Duke Center for Nicotine and Smoking Cessation is a world
renown research center run by Dr. Jed Rose, co-creator of the nicotine patch. The Duke center offers ongoing QUIT smoking clinical
trials and has offices located in Durham, Charlotte, Raleigh and WInston-Salem. All participants

Duke Personal Assistance Service (PAS)
Personal Assistance Service (PAS), Duke's employee assistance program, offers assessment, short-term counseling
and referrals from a staff of licensed clinical social workers and psychologists to help resolve a range of personal,
work and family problems. Services are free and confidential to Duke faculty, staff, and their immediate family members.

Quit Now NC
North Carolina's toll-free quit-line (1-800-QUIT-NOW), has specialists available from 8 a.m. to midnight,
every day for adults and youth. Assistance is available in English, Spanish, TTY and many other languages.

Provides free counseling and resources from the National Cancer Institute.

The Centers for Disease Control offers reports and statistics on smoking and resources to help quit. Resources
