To obtain a card after retirement your department must submit a letter, to DukeCard Office, stating retirement date and confirmation that you are authorized to have a card. This card has no special privileges and there is a charge of $4.00 to have the card issued.

Retirees can obtain access to the library by completing a form at the circulation desk of Perkins Library. Non-alumni can obtain a card to any Duke University library for $100.00 per year and for alumni $75.00 per year. To obtain a card that gives you access to Duke University libraries excluding the law school library, business library and medical school library non-alumni pay $35.00 per year and alumni $25.00 per year.
