Life Events: Child Graduation Checklist

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

Contact the HRIC for COBRA continuation or policy change information within 30   days before or 60 days after graduation

You will be billed monthly by CobraServ

Reimbursement Accounts

Reimbursement account coverage can continue only if you provide more than one-  half of the graduated child's total support

Reimbursement account changes must occur within 30 days of graduation

Contact Benefits or WageWorks for assistance on reimbursement changes

Life Insurance

Existing coverage ceases upon graduation

Contact specific vendors directly for Universal Life and Supplemental Life   conversion options

Other Insurances

Contact Marsh@WorkSolutions regarding Personal Casualty (METPAY) coverage options

Tax Withholding

Consider updating your tax withholding status if your graduated child no longer   resides with you and is no longer a dependent for tax purposes
