Tuition Assistance Program
New Tuition Assistance Program Duke offers the Employee Tuition Assistance Program that will provide reimbursement of tuition for classes taken at Duke or any other higher educational institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools with a presence in North Carolina.

Tuition Grant Seminars
Learn More about the Children's Tuition Grant ProgramWe invite you to attend one of our Children's Tuition Grant seminars. A representative from Duke Benefits will discuss eligibility requirements, taxability of benefits, and how to apply for benefits. This seminar will be valuable information to parents with new college bound students.   Register now!

Tuition Assistance

Provides reimbursement of tuition for classes taken at Duke or any other higher educational institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools with a physical presence in North Carolina.

Children's Tuition Grant Program

Provides employees a grant for undergraduate tuition expenses incurred by children of eligible employees for full-time study at any accredited college or university.

Learning and Organization Development

Exists to support and advance organization and individual performance effectiveness across Duke. Ongoing services include computer technology workshops, work skills workshops and management development workshops. Offerings include a three-day management seminar, "Guide to Managing at Duke;" and Consulting Services include (but are not limited to) customized workshop offerings, strategic planning, team development, executive coaching, focus groups, program evaluation, and performance management assessment for development.

Professional Development Institute

The Professional Development Institute is a center dedicated to providing professional development training programs and resources for staff that supports identified staffing needs across Duke. The Institute offers long-term training programs with a tailored curriculum designed to develop skills and capabilities needed to fill identified job opportunities across Duke.

The Office of Continuing Education

Offers more than 200 non-credit courses and workshops. Courses range from the purely academic to the practical for both personal enrichment and career development.

Duke Institute for Learning in Retirement (DILR)

A participatory program for adults 50 and older in the Triangle area. Generally, classes last 12 weeks, meet once a week for 90 minutes, and are held in the Bishop's House. Classes are based on a liberal arts and sciences curriculum.
